How to Generate Declaration Documents in NMap™

Modified on Mon, 12 Aug, 2024 at 11:45 AM

NMap™ automates the generation of several key declaration documents for your port calls. To ensure accurate and timely submission, follow these steps:

  1. Log In and Access Port Call:

    • Begin by logging into NMap™. Navigate to the Port Calls List and select the relevant port call to work on.
  2. Complete Required Information:

    • Ensure that all necessary information is filled out according to the requirements of the specific port call. NMap™ uses this data to populate the templates for the various declarations. For example, to generate the Crew List you need to at least provide the information for one crew member.
  3. Generate Declarations:

    • NMap™ automatically generates the following declarations once the minimum required information is provided:
      • General Declaration (FAL 1)
      • Ship's Stores Declaration (FAL 3)
      • Crew's Effects Declaration (FAL 4)
      • Crew List (FAL 5) for arrival and departure
      • Dangerous Goods Manifest (FAL 7) for entry and departure
      • Maritime Declaration of Health
      • Security-related Information (SOLAS Regulation XI-2/9.2.2)
      • Advance Notification for Waste Delivery to Port Reception Facilities
      • Notice of Ship Arrival for Mandatory Expanded Inspection
  4. View and Review Declarations:

    • Each generated declaration will appear in its respective section within the Port Call Dossier. Review the documents to ensure that the data is accurate and up-to-date.
  5. Update Information if Necessary:

    • If any information needs to be adjusted, return to the relevant sections of the port call dossier, make the necessary updates on the form itself, and regenerate the documents.
    • All declaration documents are automatically updated with the latest information upon submission to the Port Authority.
