How to Certify Declarations in NMap™

Modified on Tue, 13 Aug, 2024 at 3:49 PM

Certifying declarations in NMap™ ensures that your auto-generated documents are secure, verifiable, and compliant with port clearance protocols. The certification process uses blockchain technology to maintain document integrity and includes a QR code for easy verification by the Port Authority. Follow these steps to certify your declarations:

1. Check Declaration Status:

  • Ensure that the declaration you wish to certify is in the "Accepted" status.

  • The "Certify" button will only be available if the document has reached this status.

  • If the declaration status is not "Accepted," the "Certify" button will be disabled, and you will need to complete any required steps before certification.

2. Initiate Certification Process:

  • Click the "Certify" button to start the certification process.

  • A confirmation dialog will appear asking you to proceed.

  • Confirm your decision in the dialog box. This will initiate the process of recording the document on the blockchain.

3. Complete Certification:

  • Once confirmed, the declaration will be recorded on the blockchain. A QR code will be generated and added to all pages of the certified document.

  • This code facilitates quick and easy verification by the Port Authority.

  • The document status will be updated to "Certified." The "Certify" button will be replaced with a "Certified" label in green.

  • All buttons related to document editing will be deactivated to prevent further modifications.
